By taking good care of your bike, you extend its lifespan and maintain that signature VanMoof riding experience.
1. Lubricate the chain: Use chain lubricant and a rag every two to three months to keep the chain smooth. Turn the bike upside down, lubricate through the plastic cover, and turn the pedals backward a few times.
2. Adjust the handlebars: Adjust the height of your handlebars for comfort and control. Use up to two spacers to find the right position without putting stress on the wiring.
3. Saddle height: Adjust your saddle to hip height for powerful and comfortable pedaling. Use a Torx 30 wrench from your VanMoof toolbox.
4. Check the wheels: Check monthly that the wheels are properly secured with the anti-theft key and lug wrench. This prevents accidents.
5. Perform a reset: In case of error codes or malfunctions, a reset often helps. For S3 & X3, press and hold the button under the top tube for eight seconds.
